PC-Free Digital Microscope Review
Digital microscope without a computer!
In November 2013, TEC Co.,Ltd., announced two innovative digital microscopes: the "HandyMicron" and "StandMicron." The key feature of these products is their ability to operate independently without requiring a PC and USB connection, running on battery power for portable use.
Both models feature a 5-megapixel image sensor with up to 250x magnification (1000x with digital zoom). They support still image and video recording to microSD cards, include 8 white LED lights for illumination, and can output video to TVs via composite connection.
The HandyMicron features a vertical video camera style design, excelling in portability and versatility for various observation locations. Meanwhile, the StandMicron is a desktop model ideal for long-term stable observation. In actual use, both products proved significantly more user-friendly than conventional models, offering sufficient practicality for hobbyist applications.
